Benjamin Drake: If you are involved in a vehicle accident, make sure you’re OK, before you get out of a vehicle. If you have passengers, make sure they are OK. Don’t hesitate to contact 911.
If you want to get out of the vehicle, make sure it’s safe to do so. Don’t get out of the vehicle if there are oncoming traffic that could possibly collide with your vehicle or yourself. Once you’re out of the vehicle, make sure you take as many pictures of the scene of the accident and the vehicles that were involved in the accident.
Make sure you get any witness information, name, address, and phone number, and ask them to stay, if the police are showing up to get a report for you. Get all the information of the other driver, and make sure you get a copy of the driver’s license, the license plate, and any insurance information they may have.
Do not admit to anything.
