A new school year has started and in the spirit that brings people together in an unexpected way, and this new school year is no different. Every year Benjamin Drake and the team at Drake Law Firm is honored to participate and honor those who pursue education.

Community and Giving Back

Throughout the year, Drake Law Firm has several outlets for supporting and giving back to our children and community. Benjamin Drake established a year scholarship titled “Super Hero Scholarship”. In the past, Drake Law Firm has also partnered with KJLH in Los Angeles to bring the community together for MLK Celebration, House Full of Toys benefit drive are just a few.

Backpacks for Kids

This school year the opportunity to give and support Lula Davis-Holmes and the city of Carson in the 3rd Annual Backpack Giveaway. Lula Davis-Holmes has served for over 11 years in improving the quality of life in the community of Carson in Los Angeles.

Community and children’s programs have always been among Lula’s top priorities.

Lula serves on various subcommittees for the City of Carson. Among them are Accountability and Ethics, Classification, Organization, Management Study, Salary and Compensation Survey Proposals and Recommendation. She also serves on the Housing Committee, whose focus is to address the needs of veterans and low income residents. Because of her concerns and passion to provide low income housing for veterans, the City of Carson recently broke ground on Veterans Village Housing Complex, a 54-unit housing complex, and the Arts Colony Housing Project.

The event was held in SouthBay Pavilion Mall in Carson, Los Angeles. 600 backpacks were given away to Carson city students. A large number of parents and kids came out to both help and participate in the event.
