SACRAMENTO, Calif. —Two people are in the hospital after a vehicle crashed into a parked Sacramento Police Department crime scene investigator car, authorities said.
The crash happened near the 2600 block of Del Paso Boulevard around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the department said.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the police car and a pedestrian were both taken to trauma facilities, the Sacramento Fire Department said.
The driver has non-life-threatening injuries. The pedestrian was struck by the car and also has non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
No Sacramento police personnel were injured in the crash. No one was in the CSI vehicle when it was struck.
It's unclear exactly what led up to the crash.
