STANISLAUS COUNTY, Calif. —Two men and a woman died and two others were hurt after a two-vehicle crash in Stanislaus County on Monday, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened just before 2:30 p.m. at Orange Avenue and Elm Avenue in the Patterson area.
The Highway Patrol said the driver of a Ram pickup failed to yield the right of way and drove into an intersection where it collided with a Dodge SUV.
The three people in the SUV died at the scene, CHP said.
A man and a woman in the truck were hospitalized.
An investigation is underway to see if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
