WILMINGTON (CBSLA) – Sky9 was overhead a fatal two-car crash in Wilmington. Authorities have not announced any cause for the crash nor how many people were affected.
The crash took place on the 1100 block of West Harry Bridges Boulevard.
At least one person has died resulting from the accident, but no other information is available at the moment, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The LAPD report indicated that one vehicle, driven by a man in his 40’s, was traveling southbound on King Avenue, preparing to make a righthand turn onto Harry Bridges Boulevard when the driver of another vehicle crashed into the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle who caused the collision was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, but no suspect description was readily available.
An initial report from theLos Angeles Fire Department says people were trapped inside the vehicles.
One of the vehicles involved was an overturned pickup truck, while the other was a red Dodge Charger, which contained one person in grave danger, according to LAPD.
LAPD had both sides of Harry Bridges blocked off, as well as the northbound 110 Freeway exit.
