Mari Carella

Biography

Mari Carella joined Drake Law Firm with extensive experience in Personal Injury Law, being licensed in both California and Texas.  She has successfully handled thousands of cases in all phases from preparation, negotiation, settlement and litigation. Mari approaches all her clients and their situations with the compassion and the personal attention they need and deserve.  She is a professional who keeps her clients well informed and supported during what can be the most physically and emotionally exhausting times of their lives. Mari's ability to think outside the box, attention to detail, and years of experience in this field of law, offers her clients a unique set of professional skills. As a skilled negotiator, Mari works with her clients to identify all possible settlement options and works diligently to secure agreements that can avoid the necessity of an expensive trial. She strives to balance the best interests of her clients with the cost of continuing the fight. Her expertise at this balancing act has helped many clients get a good result at a reasonable cost.

Mari obtained her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude degree from Villanova University where she was enrolled in an Advanced Honors program and achieved Dean's List.  Mari started her legal career working in the field of Entertainment law with such companies as Fox Television, DreamWorks and Interscope Geffen A&M. She also worked in a prestigious law firm in Milan, Italy specializing in Intellectual Property law.  Thereafter, she moved to a firm specializing in Personal Injury law where she gained a wealth of knowledge playing an integral role in a major complex civil litigation case. This case which obtained the largest settlement in history (to that date) against the Regents of the University of California affected her profoundly. Mari achieved the greatest satisfaction in reaching this settlement when none of the attorneys involved or parties believed a settlement was possible. It was that moment Mari knew she was fully equipped to do battle when needed and found her home in Personal Injury. From there, she has continued to represent thousands of clients before bringing her expertise to Drake Law Firm.

Mari grew up mainly in Southern California where she pursued her passions of dance and competitive gymnastics.  Later, she played professional soccer while in college. Outside of work, she enjoys Krav Maga, traveling the world, photography, and cooking. She is also a proponent of giving back to the community and is involved in helping non-profits, with a specific focus on assisting our Military and Veteran communities. Mari is an accredited Attorney with the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs.
